Mind Your Brain Fund to Support Survivors of Brain Injury
Mind Your Brain Foundation recognizes the financial burden of medical or rehabilitation related expenses
and the challenge this causes for survivors of brain injuries.
Mind Your Brain Foundation is committed to helping fill the gaps in the continuity of care and providing opportunities for survivors of brain injuries to receive additional funding support if needed, along with resources, and information to further promote their recovery and access to continued rehabilitation.
Survivors of brain injury can request funding for up to $1,000 from the Mind Your Brain Foundation to pay for medical or rehabilitation expenses, assistive technology, adaptive equipment, or durable medical equipment. Examples include:

- Co-pays for physical, occupational, or speech therapy related to brain injury
- Co-pays for seeing a mental health professional
- Medical bills related to brain injury care and rehabilitation
- Driving evaluation
- Transport chair
Eligibility
To be considered for the MYB Fund, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Have an acquired or traumatic brain injury.
- A physician must complete a form confirming the diagnosis.
- Be at least 18 years of ag.e
- Be a resident of PA, NJ, or DE.
- Exhausted all other options/resources for funding.
- Demonstrate financial need.
- Provide an invoice or receipt for the expense/item.
- The funding must be used for the reason/item indicated on your application.
- The funding provided must be used within one year of receipt.
- Payment can only be directly issued to a medical or rehabilitation provider or a vendor (such as a medical supply or durable medical equipment company).
- The fund cannot reimburse applicants directly.
Application process
Applications will be reviewed and funding will be awarded three times a year on the following schedule. Applications must be submitted on the MYB website.
1st period (Feb. through Apr.)
- Applications must be received by March 1st
- Funds will be awarded by April 30th
2nd period (May through Aug.)
- Applications must be received by June 1st
- Funds will be awarded by August 31st
3rd period (Sept. through Dec.)
- Applications must be received by October 1st
- Funds will be awarded by December 31st
